Previously in Café 42: Music is a very important thing in my life, essential even. Indeed, within the last year, I’ve discovered that music has the power to shift my vibrational state, to open wide my imagination gates, to realign my energy, to allow my body to dance and my soul to sing. This is why, when I decided to create Café 42, I wanted to share a playlist of my most significant songs with my community, like a life’s soundtrack.
Life, the Universe and Everything playlist is now available on Spotify!
My dear beloved regulars,
“The NeverEnding Story” movie was released in my early teenage years and I loved it, still do. It’s always interesting to note that the movies or books that strongly resonnate with us, make us laugh or cry, stay with us and nourrish our beliefs, our way to connect to life, until we die, especially stories we discovered during our childhood and teenagehood for they stay deeply rooted in our very fabric, as knots in the trunk of a tree.
For those who haven’t watched “The NeverEnding Story” yet, please do! It is the story of a boy whose mom has recently past away and who is raised by his father. He is bullied at school and escapes from the meanness of the world when reading books. One day, he enters a bookshop which old strange owner is reading a book called “The NeverEnding Story”; he tells the boy that the book is too dangerous for him to read. Of course, the boy steals it and starts to read it in his school’s attic. He becomes entangled in a quest to save an imaginary kingdom called Fantasia which is dying because modern people have stopped using their imagination… Rings some bells?
I loved the movie theme song back then and still do very much. As with most of the other songs from Café 42’s Life, the Universe and Everything playlist, I’ve rediscovered lately the lyrics and their so powerful meaning.
As I’ve explained in several of my posts already, I’ve understood the amazing power of imagination during the writing process of my first novel last fall. Lots of theories about manifestation in the physical world and the Law of Attraction are based on the power of imagination linked to emotions. I don’t know if those theories are true or actually work though I’m in the process of trying them right now, but what I do know is that allowing myself to dream again gave me a freedom of thinking and of audacious actions I had long lost since teenagehood. Nothing is impossible anymore and there is no limit, not even the sky.
The “Never Ending Story” song came back into my life through an association of ideas linked to the book I presented in Café 42’s August Book Selection, “Opening to Channel” by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer. The book was written through them by their two guides: Orin and DaBen. As soon, as I saw the name Orin for the first time, it immediatly reminded me of the kingdom of Fantasia’s symbol in the movie which the hero entering the quest wears around his neck.
