Previously in Café 42: Music is a very important thing in my life, essential even. Indeed, within the last year, I’ve discovered that music has the power to shift my vibrational state, to open wide my imagination gates, to realign my energy, to allow my body to dance and my soul to sing. This is why, when I decided to create Café 42, I wanted to share a playlist of my most significant songs with my community, like a life’s soundtrack.
My dear beloved regulars,
Once again, I’m taking you back in the 80’s with the addition of “Urgent” by Foreigner to Café 42’s Life, the Universe and Everything Playlist. When I wondered what song I would add this week, I thought that it would be funny to couple my Weekly Special about Life in slow motion with an “Urgent” song which is so in phase with my usual current impatient state.
That song was sent to me a few months ago, when I was starting to moan - softly - about how slow things were moving in my life though I had, at last and for the first time, determined exactly what kind of dream life I wanted. As usual, as a sweet mockery, Michael, one of my guides who communicates with me through songs, sent me that one to alleviate my frustration…
Of course, “Urgent” is a very classic 80’s love song and there is no profound meaning to gain out of it and yet it was as though Michael was talking to me directly with the first verse: “You're not shy, you get around, You wanna fly, don't want your feet on the ground, You stay up, you won't come down, You wanna live, you wanna move to the sound”.
This is so much me that I could swear it had beeb written for my Substack profile! I’m so eager to embrace life’s surprises and the many adventures the Universe has in store for me that waiting for things to unfold can be excrutiating for my intense self. As in the lyrics, my feet are never totally on the ground especially since I’ve started writing again.
