Previously in Café 42: Music is a very important thing in my life, essential even. Indeed, within the last year, I’ve discovered that music has the power to shift my vibrational state, to open wide my imagination gates, to realign my energy, to allow my body to dance and my soul to sing. This is why, when I decided to create Café 42, I wanted to share a playlist of my most significant songs with my community, like a life’s soundtrack.
My dear beloved regulars,
The only interest of today’s new song for Life, the Universe and Everything playlist is pure entertainment. Indeed, I picked this french song “La Drôle de Fin” by Sylvie Vartan out of my childhood memories. At that period in France, we used to have very glamourous and humouristic TV shows on Saturday nights mixing music and skits. Actors would sing in duets with singers, singers would play funny scenes with actors and other singers. It was the 70’s, so girl singers would wear glittering sexy dresses - just like my Barbie dolls - and boy singers open shirts and long romantic haircuts. I loved those shows and Sylvie Vartan was almost present in every one of them, often with her husband Johnny Hallyday, the equivalent of Elvis Presley in France.
