Café of Life, the Universe and Everything
Let me introduce myself : I am Geraldine Claudel, I am a french Life Coach, Author of G-Spotlight Blog and Light Worker. For the past 18 months now, I’ve been searching answers about how Life and the Universe really work.
Fast rewind : After a violent incident in my previous work, I’ve decided that I didn’t want to play anymore by the rules I had been taught since I was a child for they had only brought me with exhaustion and misery. I was convinced that there was more to life than what I had been offered so far, than what the eye could see. I thus began to investigate through readings, podcasts, online videos and conferences, what else could possibly exists and the Universe gracefully let itself unveiled.
What I have stumbled upon about the Universe and the magic ways with which it operates changed my life forever. Nevertheless it wasn’t always easy to share my discoveries with my family and the people around me without sounding greatly insane. I know some of them already think that I am a little wacky but I’d rather think that I’m only a little more awake than the usual.
In fact, at first, I just chose to open myself to a new unknown route, a new way to look at things and people, and to follow the breadcrumbs the Universe and my guides put on my path. All it took for me really to be able to see them was only to start believing. I opened myself to signs, to synchronicities and all the other Universe magic tricks, then I started exchanging with my guides – it demanded me a lot of faith to believe in them and I still have my doubts sometimes - and lots of incredible things began to happen in my life. Fortunately, and definitly not randomly, people open to this kind of things started to enter my life so that I could share some of what was happening to me, help me make sense of it all without feeling too lonely or too bizarre.
The incredible thing is that I began to look at the world like a child, with curiosity and amazement, as though I was discovering it for the first time again. Its magic filled me with tremendous happiness, even true bliss at times, and I began to experience the incredible unextinguishable love that fills my heart at all time for everyone and everything.
So when the Universe sent me a few tender but firm nudges about opening my own substack account, I asked myself what I wanted to do with it, what would be the purpose of it. At that point, I remembered that one of my good friends recently told me that she was happy to be able to talk to me about her spiritual and psychic experiences because I was the only one who would listen to her without any judgement.
That’s how I decided that I wanted to build Café 42, in reference to “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” by Douglas Adams, a virtual café where people who always felt a little misfit in their lives, who sense things that “ordinary” people don’t, who’d rather look at the world with love and compassion than anger and resentment, that grief can break open your heart but never break it closed or are simply curious about other ways to envision life, could gather and talk about Life, the Universe and Everything without being scared of ever being judged, a place where we could all be our “weirdest” and most magnificent self at the same time.
Every week, I will be offering my Weekly Special, a post with which I will share with you my magic adventures with the Universe and hope to inspire some of you to do the same.
As a good bartender, I also won’t resist the temptation to make comments about the current state of the world and my current state of mind.

How I chose to Believe in Magic
Thank you, Rebecca. I’m so happy you like the set up of my little Café! When I started my Substack, I didn’t want to only talk about my life, but to create a virtual place for a community to birth around what I had to share, which is very much still a work in progress, and the idea of a cosy gipsy café with colorful cushions everywhere popped into my mind. And I’ve always loved the idea of being a bartender!
I amn't that so interested in fiction- I personally like non-fiction- but you generally look to be an amazing person, Geraldine- that is why I am commenting without having read anything from the article.
